Unauthorized currency exchange bureaus operating in various locations have been reported recently.

 

The National Bank of Georgia registers currency exchange bureaus in accordance with the established regulations. Conducting currency exchange operations without registration is a violation of the law and may result in legal liability, including criminal liability.

 

We call on business entities to refrain from performing currency exchange operations to circumvent the legislation, and ask citizens to be more careful and exchange currency only at registered currency exchange bureaus.
