Natia Turnava Holds Meeting with IFC Vice President Alfonso Garcia Mora

Acting Governor of the National Bank of Georgia Natia Turnava and Minister of Finance Lasha Khutsishvili met with IFC Vice President Alfonso Garcia Mora as part of the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.


The meeting focused on several key topics, including the impressive growth of tourism in Georgia, record-high indicators in the construction and IT sectors, and the IT sector's emergence as a prominent player in the Georgian market, attracting both investors and global business attention. Additionally, discussions highlighted the progress of major infrastructure projects across the country.


The participants also reviewed the current state of the secured bond market and outlined future steps in this area. Green financing news and upcoming plans were also discussed.


IFC Vice President Alfonso Garcia Mora assured the Georgian delegation of the IFC's continued readiness to provide support.


The meeting with the IFC Vice President was attended by NBG Vice Governor Ekaterine Mikabadze, as well as Deputy Finance Ministers Ekaterine Guntsadze and Mirza Gelashvili.
